Entrechment and his new copyprotection

mhh iam a bit disappointed that Stradock talks about copyprotection and that they dont need one because its a great game.

But why asks my Entrechmentversion for an activation after i moved to another Computer ?

I realy cant believe that, because they say that they dont need a  copyprotection for their games.

now the full version ist their and still i have to activate my game. I hate this, because they say that they dont need one... and because i everytime get a fresh installed notebook in my company.

*shrug* Unless you reinstall on new hardware every month, I doubt you'd ever run into a problem.

i have to :(

So i copy the gamefolder from my usbstick. Installing needs to much time and  internetconnection (that i dont have sometimes).

But why there is one if they say they dont need them...

iam pretty sure that i never get a real answer for this. Maybe the right answer is that the said that because of marketingpurposes :)

To prevent installation of a game onto many different systems that the owner doesn't actually own. That's why. Has nothing to do with marketing or copy protection.

And what real reason could you have to get a brand new computer every month? I dont know of a company that would spend that much money.

To play devil's advocate here a bit. The whole point of Impulse was to be DRM free with no online activation.  That once you downloaded the game you can copy it to whatever system you want without activation hassles. Thats how the original Sins was.

If its changed, its just closer to Steam now.

Last I checked, you can de-activate one copy of it and install it on another computer with that same activation. Is this wrong?

I haven't noticed a difference after uninstalling and reinstalling several times, anyway.

i had the same issue easyest way around this is simple just download impluse to the computer u want and download it and its good. but i do agree that t was much nicer and easyer as it was in the first release as not all my computers were wired to the internet and i had to move 2 towers just to add it on my childerns computers
