MiniDump Error

Someimtes when I save the game, then quit to menu, I get a MiniDump pop-up and when I click OK, it freezes. It happened 4 times so far, that I know of, but It is stored in teh temp folder, so I might have dleted any others.  Is anyone else getting this error? Or just me? I do have a weird laptop, one that doesn't realy ahve a good driver (at least yet) a T61p, but it was built for RPI students, so it has some features the other don't have. Any one know of a way to send the dmp files to the tech support here and they can analyze them?

Minidump files can be send to [email protected]. Pack them into a zip file I suggest.

Cheers!

Try turning the graghics all the way down. If you have not already.

Why does turning the graphics up cause minidumps?

I'm not sure, this thread might have some answers, https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/333111 , but it seems they can play only 10 min. games, while I can play 3.5 hour ish hour games. Not because of graphics i think, my other computer is a laptop, and I get the same hours per game before minidump.

I can play many hours, but like the OP, I frequently get md's on saving and quiting.

Some of the mini dump errors are coming from the graghics not loading properly. Even with the upper end cards. Some peeps have been having issues. I was running a integrated graghics card on a punnie 250w ps. I upgrade to the 4670 ati and a 550w ps. Now the only Save errors or MD's are comeing from the graghics loading funny. Sometimes I get the box of stuff that floats up on the tec starbase will be somewheres else. Makes a cool giant engine I think.  Since the upgrade I been running all on high with little to no problems. I hope we don't have to sacrifice to much of the cool graghics to make it run smooth. As it is unmodded Sins entrenchment graghics are step up from previous releases. I really really like, thumbs up.

I really think the memory dump has to do with the total amount of units because of the THOUSANDS of mines being created.

The same thing happens to me on Supreme Commander when the unit count gets too high.

I have 4 Gb of DDR3 with an ATI 4850 and it's happening to me too.  With this kind of setup, it should not be happening.

Less mines = more stability.

Omfg, i got minidumps too, but, i googled it, all i had to do was reinstall... i sent the minidumps aswell, so they could fix it in the patches, but other then that, its only reinstalling it, no graphics, mine was when it was starting up the game, not loading it so i could play the game, but after i clicked the shortcut, it went to the ironclad thing, but stops before it got to the menu, it runs perfectly right now....

As a 32-bit program, the game is capped at 2GB regardless of your machine specs.

Hmmm...then why the memory dump from Windows?  Why doesn't the program shut down?
