Galaxy Forge/Mapping - Factions

As of SoaSE version 1.12 and GF version 1.1, have the following issues been resolved?:

1. Lack of control over the starting location for Human/AI players.

2. Inability to set the names of AI players by means of the inGameName attribute.

Unfortunately, the few posts I have read through in the stickied Galaxy Forge and Galaxy Creation threads lead me to believe that these issues have yet to be addressed.

Nope, all the bugs are still present.

- Map is vertically flipped
- Starting postition are not working
- Faction name are not working
- Star names are not working
- Money is not working
- Maps are not in custom map, they are in normal maps tabs
- Invisible planet bug still present
- Can't change z-axis of planets
- Need to have same version or it won't work

The editor is currently useless (in fact in never worked correctly). It's as bugged as these forums. You can't do anything serious with it. Don't waste time on it you'll just be frustrated of the lack of support and talent of the devs.

What Galaxy forge have you been using?

I've gotten all of the bold to work in my galaxy forge, and I'm not sure about some of the others, so some of them may work as well. I think the 1.1 galaxy forge is a vast improvement over the original, and while it still needs some work, its more than possible to make good maps with it.

You're probably not giving every player a starting planet then. Make sure at least one planet is controled by each player, preferably make it their homeworld (otherwise starting alligence is 30% 8(| ). And why did you edit the premade random?

wanted lotsa resources

Make sure you go to the players tab and edit the resources for each player. Editing the values from the main menu only effects newly created players.
