where do i put a mod after i download it

i downloaded a couple mods and i was woundering where do i put it at?

From the options menu, click on mods, then on show mod path. That's where.

You may need to enable showing of hidden files from the explorer window:

Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders
