Screen Scrolling Issues

I've been playing Sins for weeks now and loving it! It's what Masters of Orion 3 should have been.

Sadly, about 2 days ago, I developed a minor annoyance of a problem...my screen no longer scrolls by moving the mouse to the edge in all directions. I can scroll up and left just fine, but not down or right. Still running XP Home with a P4 ht processor, 2 gb ram, NVidia 7600 GTOC with forceware 178.24 installed. No changes to hardware or configuration were made between the time it worked and now. Anyone have any ideas? The zooming out to select down or to the right so I can zoom back in is getting bothersome........

Curious: Is this on a specific map?

I used to encounter this only on maps created with the in game map creator.

I use the random setting, usually Huge Multi. It has recently started working when it wants to for 5-10 minutes at a time, so I'm just stumped.
