I'm on a college connection that routinely gets up to 10mbps down and 2-3mbps up. I've played numerous online games, including WoW, EvE, and COD without having any issues with lag (ie around 60 ping on east coast, 120 on west coast, 200 in europe).

Whenever I connect to a game in Sins, my ping stays between 3000 and 6000. When I chat the text appears 5-10 seconds after I push enter. I lag really badly at the beginning of games, although a couple of times it has dropped down to around 100 after a few minutes.  I have tried disabling firewalls and antivirus protection, with no effect. I have tried playing other games recently without having any kind of a problem.  Has anyone else had a similar problem? Why is ironclad lagging when every other program runs fine?
