Wow, that is big! What did you do, put all your remaining ships into one gigantic fleet? Yeah you can really tell you are going to lose about 3/4 the way through the first video. Even if you didn't say you couldn't build cruisers you can tell. It is the one thing I really dislike about Sins is the fact that in my experience who ever has the biggest fleet wins. Obviously this is a true for about most anything.

Its just the fact that there really isn't anything you can do to turn the tide of a losing battle Sins that kind of annoys me. I know I'm probably missing some tactics and strategies that people have pulled off to turn the tide, its just never happened with me before. Good video though, can't wait to watch the rest of them.

Just a suggestion, do away completely with the Sovas in your fleet, and replace them with Kols and Mazras. You can get as many fighters/bombers as you need out of Light Carriers, and those spots for Kols and Mazras will come in handy when you're beating the shit out of the Vasari caps. Trade alot of those LFs for LFRs and more HCs/Carriers, and you'll have a great fleet.

The main strategy once you realize your losing is for me to throw all of my HCs and LFs into the enemy, and get as many as my caps and carriers out as I can.

Wow, part 4 was awesome.

1:10-1:17 All those fighters streaking in to hit that capital ship was sweet.

2:30-2:42 Haha, yes level up! Then death lol. That made me laugh

3:20-to the end. That was awesome as you were following that Vasari bomber and then your Cap ships started blowing up left and right. It was a perfect testiment to the destruction of your fleet.

Nice suggestion :D   but i could only build light frigates by then cause i had no military lab left. Your right i should have spammed more kol and mazas and less of support capital ships.

I think I saw a shipyard. Were you cranking out ships during the battle? It went long enough!

Amazing battle! The only thing like it was a huge Star Trek Mod Klink-Fed battle. Ships were blowing up all over the place, and the Feds lost.

I disagree that biggest fleet wins.  I only play avdent, but Iconus gaudians mixed with disciples and at least one of every cap ship can outlast a much bigger fleet.  Throw some drone hosts and Deadras . . . .  late game with your caps leveling up automatically?!!!

p.s. very nice video!@!!

Hey guys i got another large fleet battle TEC vs TEC i'll be uploading soon

I think if the numbers are against you, your best bet MIGHT be to destroy the support ships of the enemy.  I don't know the TEC and vasari support ships by heart, but while they seem like a low priority target they may prove to be quite valuable to the enemy and capable of turning the tide in your favor should they be destroyed.  The next target is a little more difficult.  why?  And carriers tend to have VERY high shields and even with concentrated bombers attacking them they are quite resilient.  Heavy fighter frigates are also a natural choice with naturally lower shields however the enemy tends to use them en masse.  Going for cobalt-type frigates might be the better option.

I do like to play the advent and use the desciples to steal anti-matter from carriers so that they spawn less and in battles the AI tends to move the carriers toward the outer edge of the grav well which means less attention to you killing them.

Lastly, I love anti-fighter frigates and keep them close to my caps!  That way, I can #1 spawn only bombers (though I will surely lose some to enemy fighters) and #2 by keeping anti-fighter frigs CLOSE to my caps I can minimize the damage enemyu bombers can do to them.

I have, in the past, frustrated the enemy so much with this approach that the retreated despite having larger numbers.

And easy way to NOT micromanage this is to create fleets.  For example, desciples as a fleet (or more than one) to harrass enemy carriers and another fleet which has anti-fighter and protection around capital ships in CLOSE formation.  With the advent, Guardians, defenders and caps with several desciples for stealing antimatter.

VERY nice advice!!!!! But there was no way i could have won that battle. In the video varsari had the same amount of units indicated on the "units bar" so he had the same amount of units but had more cruisers percentage, also varsari units are naturally stronger that TEC's so to see a even amount of units, its not looking good for TEC. If i do spam frigates during the battle i would still lose

^^  I could not clearly tell from the vid, but were you giving any sort of orders in terms of what to attack?  Or did you just let the AI fight for you?  Also, sometimes retreat is a viable option esp. when the fleet that caused the retreat seperates itself and leaves a smaller one to "occupy" the grav well esp. if there are other threats to its system from, say and hopefully, an ally.  If even a portion of their fleet leaves you can usually pop back in and destroy their supprt ships which just ALSO happen to cost a lot to reproduce thus, from the opponents POV, not something they wish to see killled.

WOW I'm really screwed in this sense. I had only this planet and 1 or 2 planet next to this planet so no where to retreat. No allies but another advent enemy who is just a phase jump away.... I didn't control my main fleet but did a bit here and there with the capital ships

Here's the link to the huge Fed-Klingon battle for the SoA mod. http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-trek-sacrifice-of-angels-2/videos/soa2-klingons-vs-federation#imagebox

Seeing it again it isn't nearly as cool as freaktong's since much of the images are too far away and the background is too dark, but the explosions sure are amazing!

So have you uploaded the TEC vs. TEC? If you have, your links do not show up on your OP.
