Man, frickin' awesome! The vasari sure turtled it out though. I would have more Kortuls and less evacuators for an encounter like this, used their exploding nanites on your LF spam then ordered my assailants to attack them while my subverters neutralized as much of your other frigates as possible. After this the rest of my caps would go against your Dunovs first priority, then the rest of your caps. My enforcers would apply extra firepower where needed. I love Vasari for this kind of situation. In my opinion, Vasari took too many unnecessary loses, which does not make this a true victory by my standards. Sacrifice is necessary in war, but too much is stupid.

I can not help but feel you lost because of taking the video, great nonetheless. Didn't you have armistice on at least one of your caps? That would have been a lifesaver. Your Marza's missile barrage would have been a lifesaver too. I believe that if you do not want this to happen again you should analyze what went wrong and adapt accordingly with some room for improvising of course. And that goes for anybody.

P.s. Fraps is going to be so cool once I *cough* buy it *cough*, even though that would burden my consciousness.

I was thinking the same thing: 2 or 3 level 6 Marzas would take out the little guysand damage all the Caps within range. That would even the score - assuming they didn't get interrupted or blown to bits before they were done with their missile barrages. By the time the Big M's finish the Vasari's are browning their shorts and looking for a hasty exit. The missile barage is so useful I turn off all autocast for my Marzas - then they charge in and hit the candy colored red button...

yeah I should have built more units as the battle played out!!!!! If i built more units or micromanaged capital ships i could have won or at least lose less humiliating.:'(

Ps FRAPS is awsome but you will need another program to compress the videos afterwards cause after you capture a video it is common to be over 1 GB for even a video under 2 minutes.

Will do! :D do you use WinRar, or something else?

P.s. Do not feel bad! A defeat is only humilliating if you do not learn from it. Well that and dying while taking a crap.

You can use windows movie maker to compress. Your not trying to zip it but trying to compress the huge AVI into a smaller format such a WMV format video

I have to say that once again, this is awesome. Man I love it when you put the camera on the bombers. It's so awesome to watch the battle unfold from the perspective of the bomber. Can't wait to see the conclusion.

The TEC v TEC battle was good, but I had a real hard time seeing the ships since the background was so dark. They were at best a silhouette when there were explosions or the planet was in the background. That’s why I almost always change the background to red or light blue by going to Effects and clicking Colored Skyboxes and/or Deep Space Colored Skyboxes on and off until I get a background color I like.

Anyway, keep it coming! My games don’t seem to get these mega battles. Any hints as to how to get them going?

yeah i admit its a bit hard to see with black background but maybe its a bit better in high quality mode?

In order to get mega battles you need to do large fleet size and on a reasonable big map versing humans or unfair ai

I'm not sure I'm ready for more than standard difficulty. I've done quite a few medium maps. Perhaps I should move up to large?
