lawl. 1st when you open to alter such files be sure to check the box at the bottom so u dont open as always a text doc such as note pad.
2ns when ever you feel like alting a file in any case it never hurts to make a back up just take your stardock folder and save it as a rar zip file saves it in lest space as well as covers you incase you screw somthing up but kit is correct all the files in the Galaxy folder are ".galaxy" files
