After [entrenchment] updates nothing works [FIXED]

Ive just installed entrenchment for the first time off impulse and at the same time updated the original. now the original has disappeared from my games list leaving only entrenchment. Now when i try to start up any of the games it comes up with-

microsoft visual C++ runtime libary

runtime error

this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

please contact the applications support team for more info.

then the unresponsive thing comes up and it crashes. this happens with the original and entrenchment even when im trying to run the original from the cd not impulse. Any ideas?

So you don't get a minidump file?

And during the Entrenchment Beta, Entrenchment is installed over Sins instead of as an optional part of it.

the only thing i get when it crashes is that message in the original post and then the unresposive thing and it crashes back to desktop. could it be something to do with the updates as they were both downloaded and the original sins update was installing just as entrenchement was finished. so could that mean it was stopped halfway through the installation and therefore it just messed up everything?

Updating both at the same time would probably mess it up. Right click on it and select verify installation.

I didn't even know it would let you update both at the same time.

If a complete reinstall does not fix it, please contact [email protected] about this.

A complete reinstall has finally worked. entrenchment would not uninstall from impulse as it kept coming up with error messages, so i went in control panel and tried to delete that way but when i clicked on it it just done nothing. so finally i had to go into the folder that sins is in and delete everything. After reinstalling it all it worked. Thanks kitkun & kryo.
