minidump files

I had repeated crashes with Sins last night, one of those produced a minidump file. Only problem is I dont know where it went.

 

Also, is there a place I can submit the bug files or do I just copy paste their contents from notepad here?

send your minidumps in a .zip to [email protected]

 

Any info you can send then about what happend and your system will help.

Where can I find the minidump file? I accidently clicked the "OK" button before I looked up where thefile was when the error message appeared.

Please open Windows Explorer to the location below and see if your dump file is there.

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\Sins Dump

Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\Sins Dump

If there is a minidump file present, please zip it up along with a copy of a dxdiag from your PC and a description of what you were doing when it occurred to support(at)ironcladgames(dot)com. Please note that you must provide your Sins of a Solar Empire serial number in your email to receive support (anti-piracy measure).

its easier if you just ype "%HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Temp\Sins Dump"

There have been some problems with the memory allocation of the graphics card. The card is running out of ram und this will went into a dump.

You can try to set the detail level a little bit lower to prevent those crashes.

Setting the Sins graphics to detail level "high" worked around the problem for me (256 MB card).
