[BUG] TEC Starbase constructor causing MDs

Ralov Heavy Constructor unpacking???

Game dumped every time when TEC Ralov Heavy Constructor appeared in the Ice world where my Starbase is and fleet is moving to (bottom left corner). (I have a saved game about 30 seconds before it jumps into my system - files and minis sent to [email protected])

I turned all graphics down/options off, so don't think this is a graphics issue.

 My GUESS is that the MD is occuring as the Constructor starts to unpack into a Starbase....

 Vista 64 Ultimate, 3870X2, 8GB Ram and Q6600

 

Anyone else getting something similar???

Definately. I got an MD from deploying my Ralov in the Asteroid Belt. I loaded and tried it again and I got another MD. Took it out of the Asteroid Belt and deployed it at the Star and no MD problem.

I finally replayed the game from the save enough times and it didn't happen - but my guess is that I was able to kill it before it decided to deploy

The dump seems to happen if you watch the TEC constructor unfold - I managed to circumvent it (and successfully deploy an astroid belt Starbase) by simply zooming out and not watching the system the constructor builds in.

You could be right about that Daton - in the game I played in crashed when I was microing my fleet/starbase etc... to kill the constructor, but the game had not crashed when the AI had built in systems I had no visability on yet (due to being further behind the current front lines)...
