I find it odd that after sending a mini-dump to [email protected],

I receive an auto-reply that among other things, they ask for my cd-key...

Anyone else find that kind of strange? I think this would be the first time

an actual legit company has ever asked me for my cd-key.

In case anyone was wondering, no I didn't reply with my cd-key heh...

Its to make sure they are wasting their time with a pirate. You should of sent it. Since SINS has no DRM they have to be able to check if you legit.

That does make a little sense.

I sent another mini dump from the beta 2.5 along with my key and dxdiag this time.

Hello, I too am having troubles with the 'minidump'.  I haven't yet sent the errors to Stardock, I'm hoping there's a common fix for this problem.

the more minidumps they get the better chance of fixing the problems

WHERE are the mini dumps located please; I've looked and looked, but can't find it/them.  We had mini dumps and de-sinks here today.

And ya, it sure is odd they'd want your serial #s, why would a pirate waist their time sending in mini-dumps???  Would a pirates mini dumps be any less help than a legit customers?  I mean, if it helps, it helps, I would not think they would care if a pirate accidently "helped" somehow.

Please open Windows Explorer to the location below and see if your dump file is there.

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\Sins Dump

Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\Sins Dump

If there is a minidump file present, please zip it up along with a copy of a dxdiag from your PC and a description of what you were doing when it occurred to support(at)ironcladgames(dot)com. Please note that you must provide your Sins of a Solar Empire serial number in your email to receive support (anti-piracy measure).
