Entrenchment Purchase Page Deceptive - Says February 4, 2009

I purchased Entrenchment yesterday because it said February 4, 2009.   The beta still shows on Impulse.  They really should not post a release date on the purchase page.   I had no idea it was still in beta until I came to the forum.  I have no problem with it not being ready, but it is deceptive to put a firm release date on a PURCHASE page:

It is a known problem with Impulse and release dates.

You might want to go and bug it on the Impulse forums, as i guess IC has no real influence in that.

i rather have them test for another month than having a product that is ridden with bugs and issues. so go [removed] and stop bugging people who have the brains not to be fixated on some arbitrary release date.

This is what, the FOURTH time this has happened now?

Seriously, someone needs to beat Stardock sales with a stick until they stop doing this.

This has been fixed.

Game's definitely not ready for primetime yet.  Eventually they need to stop making excuses though...

They haven't actually made any because they've always said it'll be out when it's ready. The Impulse store just doesn't like unspecified dates or something I guess, so they put in bogus ones :P

I think you'll find most people here don't really care that its taking them a while, because the feedback has made beta 2 a lot better then beta 1. Quality releases are worth the wait.

But the way they keep updating the date in Impulse to something that keeps being wrong, and keeps causing people to buy thinking its a final release when its actually in beta is simply unacceptable. The first time? Maybe. But its happened so many times now that there's a fundamental problem.

Imuplse: doesn't show subforums, so you can't access the beta forum, gives random dates for products to be available.

I think I have an extra lying around if you need it.

Does that mean the AI turning dormant after approx 45 minutes has been fixed, Mr. Fraser?

Since when has it been doing that?

You know, to come to think about it...he may be right. I've never heard anything about it. But I never get attacked by Agressor (Normal) even once.  They build up but don't attack me.  Even Fortified Hards have attacked me in the past.  During Beta it has been 2+ hours and nothing yet.  I think that file is now invalid though.

So idk my bff ______.

For those who don't know how to read an op, he isn't complaining that it's still in beta, he (and I) am complaining that it's showing as a finished product when it's not a finished product, which is false advertising.  I had this problem with the Jan 1 release date and this time around decided to wait to see if it was the real deal, which it sounds like it is not.

Last time they gave me a refund, so to the op, you could always go with that.

And Yarlen, on the Impulse purchase page, it does still say Feb 4.
