hmmm.... well i dont care wat tier i am since i dont agree with this list any ways but there is 2 things on here that do seem 'alittle' wrong with ppls statements.   first off ascension i highly doubt u beat me much if at all.  and secondly quar for someone who says he has played a few games with me lately i find that kinda of wierd since i havent been on in over 2 or 3 weeks, not to mention the fact that i dont ever remember playin a game with u or ur known smurfs, so 2 things come from that...1 ur smurfing with a new smurf which is w/e but dont judge me untill i play u when i know im playing against u cause u are predictable and easy to beat, if u wanna reveal that smurf that u consider me tier 2 with go for it.  and 2ndly for you being a tier 1 player its funny cause all of the games i have played in the last month or so i havent seen any one of that skill lvl cept for the game i played with cykur, not even how is tier 1 ne more and he knows it, and niether are you quar, personally i never thought u were a teir 1 players but this isnt my list...no hard feelings toward ne one just figured if ppl wanna state their thoughts on here then i may as well too.

The best part about this whole thing is in almost 98-99 % of my games i usually always win my battles my team may lose but i certainly win.  Now im not invincible and i do lose too so im not saying i dont lose im just saying i hardly ever lose.  Ppl play alot differently when they think they r going against a smurf or a noob or a skilled player.  maybe u guys give 120% every game thats on u's but me i am a lazy player unless i know i have to be on top of my game.

i dont know when ill be back on alot has taken up my time with winter coming and all...need to get some oil in my tanks to keep warm so work kinda has all my attendion right now but dont worry i when i come back and u guys are on u'll know it cause i dont smurf much at all.  i only smurf about 5% of the time and ever then i reveal who i am so that teams arent stacked.

It is possible that Caius or someone of the like has tried to pass himself off as you, arch.  He has made similar names to most of us in [_] since he got kicked because he is a child throwing a tantrum.  I have seen a fake harla several times and harla hasnt played in months. 

As I have mentioned, the list and the others of similar nature have always been biased in its nature.  There has been more than half a dozen to say for me to be tier 1 but nothing has been done even when it was being kept up.  Tier 1 is completely DT except 2 people whether they deserved such status or not simply because they joined DT.  I am not saying DT isnt good because they are but that doesn't mean others aren't just as good.  It is hard to quantify skill in this game because of a lack of objective measure using ratings or a ladder.  There is nothing wrong with having such a list but it must be kept in mind that this list only comprises how well Howthe and DT in general thinks of you.  Take that for whatever its worth.

There are a lot of good players now, period.  There are also more viable strategies than just spamming Illums.  This list is certainly outdated, not that it was ever perfect, but it wasn't my place to say, because it was How's list and he put in the work maintaining it.  It is a pain in the butt to do stuff like this on the side, which is why people who said they were going to make their own lists never maintained them.

I'd suggest for someone else to maintain their own version of a list, but quite frankly it is hard to determine the relative skill level of people when there is a huge amount of smurfing going on.  To get an exact idea for someone's skill level, you would have to play against that person in a 1v1, and both against and with that person in a team game.  It is pretty hard to get a sense of relative skill levels when you never know who you are playing against, and it is possible to have an inflated sense of self esteem when you smurf people and surprise them while they are contending with who they believe to be the main threat.

Overall, I think there are a lot of veteran players now....but without a 1v1 ladder system to track stats across many games, it is pretty hard to gauge relative skill levels.  Anyone can win or lose a particular game to a good player, and team games make it hard to tell relative skill because there are so many feeds and 2v1 situations going on.

The only way to really resolve this would be to have some sort of a formal, organize 1v1 league or ladder with all games played on a certain custom map designed and intended for this very purpose.  (It could have 8 "spectator" starting spots set up.)

Diplomacy sounds like it might fix that. It sounds like people will have to buy a tech before they can feed which SHOULD make this game more dependent on the individual.

Or it could make advantaged or disadvantaged map positions that much more so.  We'll see in the beta.

Yeah, they would be custom 1v1 competition maps with 8 spectator spots.  Astax made a map or two with spectator spots.  They are starting terrans (or roids or whatever) that aren't connected to anything by phase lanes.  The players then quit or surrender and choose to continue so they can watch the game.  Alternatively, they can stay in and when the game starts the two guys playing just set up allegainces with the 8 spectators so they can watch everything.  That way the specs (who could all be on the same team for ally spectator chat) could talk.

Well that's another issue in and of itself that the devs still need to address.

The solution is just play pre-made maps or mess with the random map designer (as cumbersome as it is to use, it works).

What I really want to see is the end of 1 phase lane starts. If the devs would just fix that, this game would be a whole lot better off.

2 things.Starting balance(no roid,1 phase lane) and neutral balance.

Its an unhygenic act that makes you go blind. My friend does it whenever his Marza hits lvl 6. One time his mom walked into the room while he was doing it; she was shocked.
