Carpetbomb

Able to hold his own against any opponent sins has to offer.  Logs online frequently in spurts, seperated by a few weeks over the years playing online.  Has a 6th sense when sniffing out smurfs online and has detected many a smurf in hiding, much to the chagrin of the players smurfing.  Carpetbomb uses no macros and has never spent the time to calculate effectiveness of each strategy because he does not have any emotional or sexual needs being vented via this game.  Carpetbomb is never an easy opponent but suffers from boredom and will "fly by the seat of his pants" to deal with an opponent, which works more often than not.  He does not smurf.  Carpetbomb has always been a good team player and will "help the shit out of you," feeding you despite the fact that you do not feel you need the feed.  Excellent at providing effective teamwork when there is none, he will do what he can if he has the time to spare it typing. 

A recent game comes to mind, where carpetbomb's excellent teamwork skills tied down two players even though he had lost his homeworld and had to relocate across the map and helped his allies when they needed it even though he had only 10 illuminators, a halcyon, 2 carriers, and a single colonizer.  He knows how to get into your head, and only lacks experience playing the higher end players...given time they too will fall .

i'll agree he is a good player...but not tier 1 sorry, maybe tier 2.  That's my personal opinion, take it or leave it.

That's rich. He is and writing his own review: classic. Maybe he works in corporate America now where you write your own review while your boss only has to decide what your merit increase will be

Heh i'm not the only one writing my own review here.  Anyways, i'm not popular with smurfing players, a fact of which I am quite proud of  

Also I've admitted many times on this forum about being "carpetbomb", no mystery there, it was fun to write my review.  I do consistently beat the tier 2 players posted up.  But as usual i'll get put in tier 3 and get picked later in the matchup on 5v5 I've always been the "discount" player when getting picked, doesn't change anything .

I've toppled a few tier 1's, higgy and quar come to mind.  I beat higgy in a memorable matchup where neither of us had feed until the very end, i was advent and he vasari.  he beat me the second time with a well hidden skirmisher build up.  The point is that I am a threat to tier 1's and therefore cannot be taken lightly, I figure that is part of the criteria for being a tier 2 or tier 1. 

That is why I put tier 1.5, as it is in between the two, an all around fair assessment.

but then these go off of 1v1's, and there are many players that are good at 1v1 yet not so good at the teamwork required in 5v5.  I am almost exclusively a 5v5 player, and I have never put any stock or worth in 1v1's, as they are just time wasters for the real 5v5's to happen.

You are showing signs of early stages of KoK syndrome. Ask Grey for some pills, maybe it's not too late yet.

Two observations about this thread.

!. Itchynail is so awesome, he is tier 1 and tier 2.

2. I am the only one with nothing written about....I guess its just that hard to capture my awesomeness.

Dwish:  Always happens to be on the other team as Star.  Always happens to be next to Star...  Always gets crushed by star.  Even though he is often a nice punching bag for star's fleet, there is no questioning that his stock is on the rise as a player in the sins community.  He has been hanging around in the DT teamspeak for some time now and despite being yelled at, scolded, and or beaten down on multiple occasions he seems to be improving from game to game and who knows, maybe he will be good enough to extract revenge on his teachers at some point.  (3)

Dont feel to bad Elrosh at least you made it somewhere on the list. But at least DirtySanchezz was nice enough to leave a short mention of my name.

Looking at this list today, there are many great players who have come and gone. The sad thing is, this game died long ago.

not dead, as far as 5v5s are concerned. on good day 70+ people online at midnight uk time.

Where have you been?  Multiplayer has been picking up lately.

After impulse discout we hit 100 people online.

I saw some old players come back, you could send scout too.

Needed a long break from the game, got annoyed with soo many imbalances. (even when I used them to my advantage lol! )

Is there still alot of oldies playing?
