StarBase per planet number
Is it possible to change the number of starbases a planet can have up to 2. I apologise if this has already been asked and answers a few thousand times already but i couldnt find a thread for it when i looked.

yes it is. there is an maxstarbaseperplayer variable in each planet and star entity file.
normaly they are set to 1 for planets, etc and 4 for all stars.
and by the way I also never found anything with the search function in this forums (i got always zero hits).
Thanks Tohklidan. another quick question, anyone have a link to where i can get the new binary files for the gameinfo files for the lastest entrenchment because atm theyre all still in that unreadable format.
You have to convert them yourself, using the convertdata.exe in the root Sins folder. They provide it with every beta release. ![]()
Use the convertdatagui to convert your binary to text so that you can edit them. the convertdata the program uses of course is the new one in the main Sins folder.

Quick Question. When i convert the files to text and then change them, do i need to change the back to binary afterwards?
No you don't, the game will load the text files. Binary format files load a bit faster, that's why they're in that format by default.
Would it be worth it to reconvert to binary if its faster? or is the difference so little that i wont even notice?
