Vasari Starbase Phase Stabilizer... broken?

Seriously, I think maybe MAYBE half the time I activate the phase stabilizer it doesn't work. Even though the planet says 'Phase Node Active' or whatever, my ships refuse to jump in. Or even better, I tell them to move to it, the 'move to' blue line appears linking directly to it, meaning it RECOGNIZES the phase stabilizer, but then they all jump to the nearest planet with a regular phase stabilizer, as if it weren't working.

Sometimes it works fine though.

Anyone else experience this? I have a feeling it has something to do with, perhaps, the stabilizer node not being a 'channeled' ability, that if the Starbase begins auto-attacking something, it'll stop? Frankly, given the cost and logistics I don't see why it just doesn't work as an 'always one' phase node...

i havnt seen this yet, but i quit my game out of frustration. Coulnt get anything past a TEC chokepoint. Ill try again here soon though. I really dont see the advantage of a Temp Phase lane anyhow. Unless your cut off from your main forces or managed to get a starbase behind enemy lines to strike at them from a unproteced flank. Its a good concept but..i have yet to find a good strategy to use it. Id prefer them dropping this and tossing in a frig/cruiser factory.

Two reasons:

1) Wormholes

2) Saves you 10 Tactical Slots.
