This post is to add ideas for new planets or stars. Since I've read that Uzii has decided to stop making new planets:'( , I decided to make this post to add ideas. Just anny ideas post them here.

-Scoundrels Rest:

This planet houses all of the galaxies major criminals and hitmans. As such you're population live in fear of retribution but your empire gains valuable allies.

Max POP = 40

Bonus percentage to bounty placed on other empire = 50%

First thing I want to add,

More stars: Orange and Purple(Just to laugh:P   ).

Different sizes: Red giants/Red dwarfs.

Real skins: Earth, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, etc...

-Galactic Trade Center (GTC for short)

This planet has becoem throughout the years, the center of all intergalactic exchange. As such, even though it has relatively no health, this planet nevertheless contributes immensely to any potentialy econ heavy empire.

*Planet Health MAX = 1 500

*Ressource asteroids on this planet grant 2.4 resources per sec!

*Posesses NO tactical slots but enough logistics to hold 5 trade ports! Also, all trade port income generated form this planet gets a 50% boost!

I got another idea.

Brown Dwarf Star (colonizable)

Max pop 500    Max health 5500

No ligistic or tactical slots and no asteroids.

This star kinda looks like a big glowing gas giant of a mahogany color.

Also a Chuck Norris planet - whoever colonizes this, will have 1000 credits, 500 metal, 500 crystal per second. Oh, I forgot to mention, whoever colonizes this, can NOT lose it!!!!

How about having planet bonuses give more effect on the gravity well, or local systems?

For example:
- Increased/decreased shield/hull/mitigation/armor/healing rate.
- Increased/decreased X weapon type damage.
- Deals damage to nearby frigates/fighters/caps/structures.
- Increased/decreased ship speed/acceleration/mobility/range/fire rates.
- Unable to build starbase.
- Unable to build mines.
- Provides a planet bound crystal/metal bonus.
- Increased/decreased ability rates/cost/duration.
- Increased/decreased antimatter drain/recharge.
- Weak phase lanes: Longer time to jump/slower jump speed/PJI boost.
- Strong phase lanes: Faster jumps/reduced antimatter cost/PJIs inoperative.
- Small bonus to fleet capacity.

Oh wait, this isn't a serious thread! Oh well.

Cool. Well this means a new solar sins might be comming out... Sweeeet:thumbsup:   this is exactly why i made this thread. I find that the planets Uzii made are awsome but he doesnt want to make annymore. So i decided to make a thread to add as manny ideas as possible so there will eventually be more planes in Soase.

is it possible to add new modifiers to the planet bonus entities??

I guess these are hardcoded again like many other things in Sins. :(

I asked cause i have something like a research booster planet in mind, where all

researches are cheaper.

jepp i know that you could change the bonus list but you can't add a new floatBonus value to a single bonus entity.

in all my tests i got a minidump if i add a line like:

floatBonus:ResearchCostAdjustment -0.50000

it seems more to me that this list (which is from an planet bonus entity) is fixed and you cannot add new parameters to it.

Well it does contain a fair amount to start with!

Guess we could make combos of all or some of the values and it would end up the same as having 20 thousand new types!+_+

magma planet (Colonizable)

A planet completely covered in an ocean of magma. This is caused because the planet had never been able to form a solid crust.

max. pop. 30

Max. health 4500

max logistic slots (Lots!)

asteroids: 3 crystal 4 metal

abilitiy: Owning a magma planet increases the metal income of it and all planets connected to it by 50%

How 'bout an ancient artificial planet left behind eons ago by a race that was light-years ahead of any playable race at the time of the construction of the planet.

High chance of artifact or planet bonus discovery.

A few more logistic and tactical slots than an asteroid.

1-2metal asteroids, 1-2 crystal asteroids.

More population than a volcanic/arctic planet(w/o research), but less than a terran planet.

Maybe some kind of research bonus?

Check out celestia mod.. There is something like that in there. Although its the sise of an asteroid belt.
