Windows 7 Beta help!!! Graphics corruption

Hi all,

My system is a Dell XPS M1530 laptop.  I installed the Windows 7 Beta last night.  Nvidia only offers drivers via Windows Update.  I installed these drivers and Sins of a Solar Empire is pretty much unplayable.

Everything looks fine initially.  But when I go to the research screen there are textures misplaced all over the screen so I can't see anything on the "artifacts" screen and the images to the left of the research trees are messed up too.

Anyone else had this issue and fixed it somehow?

Thanks!

[UPDATE]:  I seem to have fixed the problem by installing the Windows Vista x64 Video drivers.   Time will tell I guess.

Yeah, we're not yet supporting Windows 7 because the drivers are a mess at this early point (Vista's were terrible even months after release...).

Ya, its a driver issue.  I got lucky though.  I can run sins on my old dell E1405 with intel GMA945.  The drivers that I have work fine, and I can run sins on an two and a half year old laptop.  Glad you got it working though.

I must be really lucky, Sins works on WIndows 7 on my computer. but it didn't work before entrenchment.

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but downloading the latest Vista drivers (from nvidia's site) lets all my games work properly under Windows 7, the installer actually includes beta drivers for Windows 7

I have had no problems with w764 and an ati4850 useing both the w7 sourced driver and the ati sourced catalyst 812 for w7
