I was having mini dump and crash issues right and left until I recently played around with a few things:

1.) Check and double check your drivers, especially the video card drivers and make sure they are current.

2.) Set graphics to medium in the game.( possibly high if you have a higher end grapics card.)

3.) ...this may be the most important. Delete all prior game saves if you have any from past beta. I did this and have had no mini dumps or crashes since. Frankly the game works great now. I believe something in prior saved games interferes with the way the game runs and causes a lockup( mini dump) and crash. I have had no problems since the last patch after doing these things. Just a tip..I hope this works for you.

Ohh..and clean up your registry and defrag often. There are many decent programs out there that will do this for you if you don't want to use windows defrag. ( takes forever in Vista). Messing with the registry can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing (like me ) but again there are good programs that will clean the trash out of the registry safely. I use Auslogics Speed Boost and it has a fast defrag program and can help clean up your registry.
