[BUG] marauder's ability

i've noticed that the marauder's phase gate ability doesn't work... i casted it and asked my fleet to jump to another planet (with a phase gate on it) but the fleet didn't take the short way to it.... X3

If you move the Marauder the ability is interrupted. It's channeled and the Marauder can't do anything else while it's maintaining the phase stabilization.

It seems to work buggy even when you leave the Marauder sitting there.  My fleet sometimes won't recognise the phase node where a marauder is (even when the planet's infocard says it has one) and I can never get a fleet to move from a phase node created by a marauder to another phase node.

The only times I noticed it didn't work were at pirate and star gravity wells.

let me ask a thing, if the marauder needs not to move while using the phase gate ability, can't be added an effect to stop the engines??

it seems the current starbase phase gate works the same which is bad because now you need to watch the marauder and the starbase to keep them on hold while moving your whole fleet.

 

i tried this in my latest vasari game and it almost never worked, 1 wrong click or if you forget to put your starbase on hold before you activate the ability and the "connection" is gone.

also bad if your marauder is connected to your fleet and you order the fleet leader to jump -> *bam* it's gone.

 

solution:

"freeze" the ship and starbase while the phase gate is active and make it possible to manually "release" the ship again and stop the ability.

From what I understand don't channeling abilities override all other auto moves?  I've never seen any ship stop channeling an ability without me giving it another orderl, even with enemies nearby.
