How do I get entrenchment beta?

Ok...well, there's no info that I could find on getting entrenchment beta in the site news articles, only that "Entrenchment IGN preview" post, and then a couple of articles on new phases of beta, and the beta isn't available through impulse, or at least my copy of impulse does not find it. It's frustrating not being able to easily find information...how do I get entrenchment beta?

You have to pre-order it, and then it will show up for download in Impulse :)

Pre-order in this case actually means order though. You'll be charged immediately.

 

It's not like at Gamestop where you plop down $5.

To be honest I really like the method SD uses to beta its games. Paying customers have a voice before the game is offical, which means more people are happy, which means more money for SD.

so i downloaded the beta but when i goto run it i just get a black screen that sits there after 5 mins i close it out no problems anyone got a suggestion? I'm running the 2.5 beta with the latest SoaSE update

If you had any mods set to load on start-up it will do that. Move them out of the mods folder first and then start the game, and disable the mod :P

 yeah i figured that out last night doh:dur:  and now where did i put that darn mod folder at *sigh*

 

*edit* huzzah! found it now if only it was SP for the beta oh well i can play online til i get home from iraq
