Who has the best military ships in the game?

If you play every race at once then you'll get all the best stuff.

or all the worst.

individually, Vasari ships are best, but they cost the most.  TEC ships are worst, but they're cheaper.  Advent is middle on both.

I disagree about the TEC ships are the worst or the cheapest...:)

I find advent ships too light in hulls and too much shields.

TEC can improve quickly their armor. And I find TEC is more polyvalent.

For my point of view, everything depends on your strategy and you way of playing this game.

I use tec and I like them I would say they are the middle

personally, i think the vasari have the best individual ships, but they are way expensive. advent is next, they have the best fleets. sadly, TEC is last (i usually play as them), but their economy is far and away the best, allowing them to make up thier losses easily.

i play Advent, almost exclusively, though sometimes Tec, and on occassion the Vasari, but my favorite it the Advent. Their ships are light hulled, yes, and some of the low end ships are rather fragile and some even next to useless in battle, but i love the shields, and i play with middle ships and the caps for attacking fleets, but i also have come to appreciate the low end, because of their specialities, the colony which i have sometimes had a half dozen of, simply to make sure i have some survive when i get out beyond the rim and can still colonize or capture resources.

Or scouts, not only of course for exposing the map and where and what the strength is of the enemy, but of course for the Kamakazi tactics when in heavy heavy battle, they take out more than one ship when they do, or severely damage them, more than my guns could in a short span.

As for the Guardian, indispensible with the Cap Colony Progenitor, and the Subjugator as a good "keep them in the game" ship.

I just find the TEC more accesable - I mean you can see us building ships like that one day...

I find the Vasari ships to be the strongest and Advent ships weekest.  The fact that advent ships have lower cost makes up for this.

Also Advent ship + Phase missles = Space junk

This seems due to the fact that phase missles phase past sheild mitigation and the Advent rely verry hevily on this.

As for why vasari foces seem strongest i think this is due to the reintegration ability of the Ravastra Skirmisher and Skarovas Enfocer.  These to ship types seem to take the most damage of the Vasari fleet and reintegration alows them to absorb it much more easily.

The tec forces have the most armor when upgrades are even this alows them to absorb a lot of punnishment but it simply isnt enough to put them in the same class as the Vasari.

This is the truth. I've decimated an entire fleet of TEC vessels, only to see it replaced a few minutes later. Granted it was unfair AI, but still. It's a pain in the exhaust port, if you know what I mean.

Against the AI you can easily get a full fleet of level 6+ caps, so it's not all bad.

Anyways, early game I'd say Vasari come out kings, late game Advent come out kings.  TEC is the game's real economic faction, usually beating down an enemy through attrician and perseverence (and lots of Hoshikos) rather than a quick and decisive attack.
