Beta3 Minidump

I got one in single player couldnt tell what cause the minidump at all. I did send it it. It should be.

C:\Documents and Settings\YourXPUserName\Local Settings\Temp\Sins Dump

I have also had the minidump issue early in-game. Strangely enough, game seems to be running smoother than ever -- right up until the crash real early on. Bizzarre (and frustrating, as I was really ready to test this thing out tonight!)

First time actually submitting a bug -- but don't really know if this is the right place or if I should send it right to IC through a more direct method?

Anyone playing a game out there that isn't crashing inexplicably?

there is a way to do this and get out of looking all over for the map files when you install sins load it and go in and delete the maps then and then install entrenchment

this should work since you have to do a full uninstall of both sins and entrenchment to get the beta 3 version and so before you install entrenchmet you then delete ant thing you need to and you don't have to go looking all over the place for files when they should be easy to find in plain sins

Subversion will cause crashes. Don't use it until Wednesday.

So it's gonna be one of those betas, is it?  Gonna be fun!

not knowing if this has anything related to the conversation but i have a lot of crashes and all it says is minidump when it does i think it has something to do with the mod im running or the map im playing the mod is stargate races and the map is one that ive created in-game

Mods need to be updated by their modders to be compatibable with new versions of sins.

I'm not sure what you mean.  Is that the fix for this specific minidump?  Because I wasn't running subversion.

Subversion is one of the abilities on the Vasari Antorak Marauder capital ships

Will AI use of the marauder also cause a crash? (and therefore should we all stop playing with/as Vasari until wednesday?)

Bummer, this version seems to be a dump fest, never got dumps until now, cant make it 20mins into a game now, as soon as enemy scout shows up it dumps....

My minidump was cause by Advent AI laying down homing mines I was told. So if you play advent or against them be warned.

Mine happens whenever I try to access the huge maps in Single Player.

Make sure that you deleted all the Sins files. I had one left over by accident and it caused pretty regular crashes. (There's a directory for Ironclad in your Application Data folder, don't forget that one. But it's where your achievements file is stored, so back that up.)

I was getting repeated crashes last night too. I had the Vasari Subversion ability but I was not using it however, not once and it wasn't on Auto either.

The AI was TEC and Advent, my partner was TEC aswell. I'm gonna see if I can find where to upload the minidumps.

The AI's use of subversion CAN cause the crash. Steve Mackay recomended that I should not have an AI Vasari playing.
