Somewhat disappointed...

the AI

I have just finished another game. This one was 6 AI's, in teams of 3. Took 8 hours, could probably have been done faster, but I like to build the planets as I go along. I only built capital ships.

I gotta say I'm diappointed with the AI. Its way to easily beaten. It should be more persistent in its attacks. Instead of attacking and then withdrawing, and spend 10-20 mins to recover and then come back only to repeat itself, it should attack, and keep producing, and keep trying. It cant be right I actually built a static defensive and not even have to bother to check if the enemy is breaking in or at least weakening the defensive (actually destroying something...). I'd also stress some sort of cooperation between the AI allies. Like having them attack together and so forth.

Again a very average post from me, but I really think something should be done. Now I'm heading on to try the new beta and see if some of this has been fixed already ;)

Put the AIs on unfair, and aggressive.  You aren't gong to beat 6 unfair aggressives.

Also, if you are playing teams of 3, you are actually pitting most of the AIs against EACH OTHER, not against YOU.  Play 6 unfair aggressives AGAINST YOU and see what happens.

It doesn't make sense to bitch about the AI being too easy when you are in fact setting it up to be easy.

Well, I never known what "unfair" meant. But I suppose I'll try that. I most admit I find FFA with Ai the hardest, they seem to attack alot more that way. But like in all games it just seems that you end at point where the Ai offers no more resistance. I just think this is sad as there ain't alot of people online willing to play the way I like to play this game (Huge Multi, FFA)

Yes, Just try FFA with 6 hard AIs.  Also try smaller maps which are IMO more difficult to beat the ai than larger maps as you do not get the opportunity to build up your economy unchallenged.

Hard and Unfair AI get a credit/resources boost.  its not acutally the AI getting smarter.  although that's what it should be.  it'd lessen the frustration.

explanation for those who don't know what I'm talking about (congrats to those who do): You see that they aren't doing much different than you, or that they aren't using a very wise strategy, and yet they continually win battles due to just superior fleet size.  This is very frustrating, as there isn't an especially effective way to counter this.  If it was actually the AI becoming more intelligent instead, then you would be able to see the reason tha the AI wins, which would be through superior strategy, instead of an unfair advantage.  this could then be countered realistically, through strategy.  this also would make the AI seem more human-like.
