Defect Beta 3: Minidump when wiping out enemy planet

1 hour 30 mins into the game playing TEC.

I can re-create this every time:

I wipe out an enemy planet (volcanic). I have 2 sovas, 4-5 carriers, and about 13 cobalts. I have about 3 bomber and 17 fighter squadrons attacking ore mines. When the planet is wiped out, I get a minidump. I have the save file. If there is interest in reviewing this, please respond to this post with ftp site or email I can attach the file to.

Great game otherwise. Balance-wise, I like what you've done to carrier craft in grav wells having enemy warships. NIce ot see them not respawn quickly or at all when wiped out.

I can confirm this, wiping out a volcanic planet with TEC causes a minidump. I was Using various Capital ships + siege frigates, i don't know if it matters but i was assisted by a Vasari ally.

If IC can recreate the crash with your minidump files then it will be fixed in the next patch

Vista or XP?

For Vista, it would be something like...

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire

for XP, it's something else that I don't remember.

We have had non stop mini dumps since the patch.. multi player is unplayable as is unfortunatly:(......Funny thing is though we have not had one sync error through out the many trys at a game since the patch.  So for that I am happy lol.. and while that is an improvment, it is also a bit of a bummer since the game is not stable nearly as long as it was with sync errors....rofl.

I know, it is beta ...but not feeling the love with bout 4 total completed games out of dozens of trys in the past few weeks.  I personally do not want anything else to be added, no other expansion, no new techs or ships. My reason is this; fix the multi player stability.  That is it.  I do not care for any further "improvements".  WHat I want is to get to the point where the game plays start to finish, no crash, no sync error, couldnt care less bout what ship is best or worst or how people think carriers sux.......None of that matters......Because IF they get this game to work consistent regarding multiplayer then I will never uninstall that "version".  This is far and away one of my all time favorite games so I shall wait and hope, hek, even pray LOL that at some point in the next year this game will reach that consistently stable plateau, and then I will keep and treasure that version of SINS forever!!!!!! Muhuhahahaha.

Problem is me and bro played the game first six months it was out and it rocked although there was not enough to it to keep our interest so we quit playing,,,,,basically bull rush your enemies not much in the way of defense... so we came back to the game after hearing news of the expansion....AND I will say that I am impressed and there is no doubt in my mind that, this is what makes it also so dissapointing. I'll live.. we all will, but grrrrrr.

I am confident the next patch will fix some more of the problems,,,,,,,,,, but the waiting is a real downer lol :/

Looking forward to further improvments and stability.
