Minidumps from the Menu

Haha...  This cracked me up!

Let me go ahead and say I'm in love with Entrenchment - great game!  I've been on the Sins bandwagon since the vanilla release, and you guys have had me hooked ever since.  Can't wait to see what the next expansions bring!

Okay, on to the issues...  Uninstalled my copies of vanilla and Entrenchment to make way for beta 3.  Installed beta 3.  Started the game, went to start a new single-player match.  Clicked on the "Change Maps" button that changes the map size group (small, medium, large).  When it is displaying the large maps and I click the "Change Maps" button again (which should switch it back to small maps), I get a minidump.  This is reproducible every time.

Second, if I click on the "Map Designer" button from the single player menu, I get a minidump.  This is also consitently reproducible.

I'll email the minidump files to Stardock in a bit...

sounds like an old random map.

try this

you have to remove ALL galaxy files older than 19 feb 2009 in

(C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy(32 bit) or

C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy(64 bit)) AND

C:\Documents and Settings\"user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy (xp) or

C:\users\"user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy).

an alternative is to do a windows search of the hard drives for all galaxy files (ie *.galaxy) then click on more advanced options and put a tick in search hidden files & folders BEFORE clicking on search

hope this helps
