Problem with the latest update?

Hey, has anyone had any trouble with the new update? Every time i try to go from large maps to small maps on Sins menu i get a critcal error and it shuts down the game. If any1 has any idea on how to fix that i would greatly be apreiciated.

I want to comment here aswell that I tested this issue.

Running Windows Vista - When cycling through the different sized maps in the beta for sins, it crashes between large and small map types with a runtime error...

Running Windows XP - I do not have a runtime error when i switch map types.

Perhaps something do with Vista, that is probably one of the reasons i m still using windows xp because of vista problems

and don't get me started on why too, the list is just too long. the point is i don't plan to start using it until service pack 2 comes out, and that is a maybe

After further thought, this runtime error might be due to a windows update...  I haven't updated windows xp in a while and that might be why I'm not experiencing the issue.

Some custom maps are causing the game to crash in the latest version. If you remove any non-official maps from the map folders until they are updated it should sort the problem.

live with it, there is no custom maps for now

edit: you can't edit or use custom maps

I forgot about that factor... I don't think my windows xp installation of Sins has any custom maps saved.  So that makes sense...

If you delete the files from this appdata directory in vista then you won't get that error anymore...
