Stats must be fixed (v. 1.14)

Following the update, no stats?

Ok since the new patch (1.14) none of our wins and losses have counted and our stats are not updated to show the true number of games played.  This needs to be fixed immediately!

Also since we are on the subject of stats, why not introduce a patch that allows for team rosters?  Where people can form clans, and invite others to join, and the stats of all the teamates go into that team roster combined which would be viewable by everyone.

Just an idea, but the main issue is fix our stats! >:(

It would appear to be the stumbling block of the online community.  Who is hot who is not.  Less information is not possible.  When a player drops to the disappoinment of ohers, that is understandle.  Quitting cause you are afriad of taking a loss is ridiculous.  Winning is the goal but shouldn't be the focus.

I would like to see more information.  Games played, time played, econ vs military choices.  To try and get an idea of the types of players you are playing with.  Various badges or achievments like in the single player mode.  I love the game, but the online commnuity is like AOL version 1 ( or possibly beta...)

I believe Ironclad has the wisdom to make the best choices, but I heard that a few hundred thousand copies of this game has been sold....then why only an online community of 1000+???

Fear and no real clear idea of the people who play.  Track it, award good and bad players....a karma system of sorts, then the online community will flourish as it should.

They have been disabled until Wednesday (Entrenchment release) to promote
testing of odd strategies.

response from tech support.

Stats were disabled to encourage more testing of non-standard strategies (situations where you are likely to lose). When we didn't turn them off, we saw that no one was doing what we needed tested. We tried the volunteer route first but when it failed we had no choice but to disable them. They'll be turned back on on Wednesday with the release of Sins 1.15 and Entrenchment.

wow.......You mean like attacking a capital ship with 30 siege friggates, cuz that's mostly spirals job lol

IMO maybe the stats should stay off, then the prospect of skill will be spread by experiance and word of mouth like most online games, plus high level players wouldn't smurf, followed by lots of new people not being discoraged by smurfers LOL.

Then maybe there would be more than 10% of the games players will be playing online. ;)

More than likely they'd just be made optional, allowing players to show off if they please, and to just stack loses if they don't!

Too many egotistical stat-(insert really bad word here)s care sooooooo much about a (curse)-ing number. just like those who killed themselves playing MMO...

For me stats should show 2 things. Total games played and Total number of disconects.

How aboutnumber of minidumps too XD. I mean if you minidumped 5 games a day in beta 2 cause one of the guys felt like trying too build an sb on his ships starts too make you look like a quiter after a while.

I am no fan of stats they actualy don't show anything. You can have high wins and games by beating up noobs all day long or you can have a loosing stat by going against dt all day long. So in the end stats don't say anything.

I like this way of working.

Makes me remember. Is that sb on ships problem solved?

How does disabling stats encourage specific situations you would like to test if people didn't test them willingly to get a free win? It is possible that a few situations may arise due to lack of stats that wouldn't if there were stats; however, I know many people that are not playing much, if at all, because of the lack of score keeping. Fewer people playing may adversely affect your expected results.

As a side note, I must say that an option to make ranked/nonranked games would be a nice thing.

Can't you use other personalities to test strange strategies?

I like stats because it gives me a sense of how well I fit with the gamers I'm playing with

So yeah stats

Yeah entrenchment

I want to see more people playing entrenchment cuz it's always empty there... :(
