Beta 3.0 Starbase Last Resort Bug + Thought

When you use the Tec starbase, and the ability Last resort, to blow the starbase up, It does not harm Strikecraft/Bombers at all, While blowing up 2000 fleet supply of ships in my test lol.


Bug - Dose not damage Bombers/Strike craft

 

 

Out of 16 captial ships i had, only the Kol's lived through every single one of the 10 star bases i blew up on it when using the Adaptive forcefield. as it blocked 65% of the Phase missle damage + 35 damage reduction im assuming? Two star bases blowing up at the same time did nit take out the Kol with a level 3 Force field 16000 damage on 1 ship, and it only looses its shields and alittle hull, Problem or normal?

 

Damage is 8000 damage for Last resort

Captial ship dont have 8000 Hull/Shields even combined at least without alot of upgrades, and they take a level 2 last resort without blowing up, Not doing even near full damage, also about half of them as well withstood a two of them at the same time.

 

Also, Is it surpose to be friendly fire? I mean a evil teammate could be "resupplying you, with the docks repairing/restoring anti-matter and BOOM", Kill your whole fleet on the frontlines, to be a  horroble yet funny to them, team player. Or to totally loose your entire own fleet, defending a world, when the enemy's rush in 30+ Torpendo ships to blow up the starbase, and it desides to self destruct and take out your whole fleet....

Yes it's suposed to be FF it'Sa  big blast that doesnt descriminate. No FF would make it overpowered. Wtich it already is since their is no way to counter not time to react and no real way to tell what range the blast will have.

Me and my buddy use them as overgron mines sometimes sacrificing a small part of out fleet to wipe out whole fleets of enemies.

BTW only lvl 8 caps, except for the KOL can survive a a starbase blast.

Well, Those strikecraft/Bombers sure are powerful, to live through something you need a level 8+ captial ship to live through. :P

 

 

Now if only I could put 150 star bases pre system as space mines instead... One can dream. :P That would 100% stop any invasion ;)

emergeny protocoll override on allied fleet. way to start a backstab :D.

Has anyone tried activating armistice and last resort at the same time?

just curious.

Strike craft should be definately destroyed by Safety Override Protocol.

you can disable the autocast on the self-destruct.

just make sure you don't hit the wrong mouse-button :D

really, i would like to see a timer on the big red button like a 5 or 10 second countdown which can be aborted.

 

the only way i see capital ships and some structures survive that blast is with full shield migration up.

*evil pilots* Build a starbase in the heart of all your teammates planets stuff, say you will protect him, and then blow up every single item on every planet at once, Cant get any better, if you wanna be evil. :-"

Nah just need a few TEC allies. if you have enought buddies they can place a Starbase bomb on all phase lines. Enemy fleets jumps in he dies. He tried to bypass he dies. IN choke points they can be a real pain.
