you guys arent seeing the big picture here ;l and its kinda annoying me, the majority caps are fairly balanced theyre not all balanced in the same roles. egg is far better early game no arguing that. murauder is far stronger later game if put in the correct role.

well i by no mean want the egg nerfed, but i dont think all caps are balanced. some caps just down right suck. im just saying the eggs versatility makes it manditory over others early on, early game egg wins 1v1 vs any cap except a radiance. also colonizes, sure its bonus to colo sucks but thats good cuz nano bomb pwns all and i want that lvl 3 soon as i can, and grav bomb rocks as well for snipeing enemy caps as they flee making egg best cap killer in the game. also it has hands down one of the very best lvl 6 skills in the game.

late game if you have a massive eco and a lvl 6 egg well then is when all the other caps start to "balance out" carrier with hp regen when you have 200 ships yes then its helpin considerably, carrier early game vs egg healin 10 assailants you look like a damn retard and im gonna turn you into a vegetable and eat you.

maurader giveing speed bonus to 10 assailants vs my egg? vegetable again! late game maurader giving speed bonus to 50 HC to snipe my egg and playing phase node to an RA fleet now we have balance... LATE GAME!!! you see the arguement im making? late game the other caps have merits some may be far better even than the egg, but early game is no contest egg IS the cap to pick

That's really self-defeating argument.

 

Balanced out only in late game does not indicate that the capitals are balanced, because former statement clearly implies that capitals are NOT balanced in early game (well, even saved for support caps) So indeed Akkan is a bit decent in late game with ion bolt with crazy amount of AM, but this point is moot if my Akkan dies early due to being weak in early game.

 

Not balanced is not balanced, there is no other way around.

tyr is saying each cap has role and a time.  If you want a good late cap then you will pay for it early on and visa versa.  Now there are certain caps that are decent throughout the game. When I lose my egg late game, I dont make another. I usually make something else that will support my fleet better or survive better under heavy attack.

 

I notice no one has complained about vas repair bays.  At 15 hp sec they suck compared to tec that can be upgraded to 40 and advent at 30.  Whats with that?  Also vas no direct way of draining antimatter (only a cap with the possibility and a low one of that)
