I downloaded Entrenchment, and started playing it...When I try to reload, it says invalid saved games?
This is normal. Patches generally invalidate save games when too much changes in the game engine.
These are save games from Entrenchment. I was playing entrechment, saved the game. And these saves are invalid. I cleared out all old save games before playing
Did you update Entrenchment between when you saved and when you tried to load? That will also break the saves.
Yeah, I just tried launching an Entrenchment 1.0 game, saved it, and it loads fine. That's strange.
It turns out when I was playing entrenchment, I loaded from Impulse. Then when I wanted to play the next day, I loaded from the game directly. Turns out I didnt notice the "Play Entrenchment" menu option and was using "Single Player" menu option, which loads the original game and not the expansion pack Entrenchment
You can make a shortcut that points to Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment.exe to skip that step and launch it directly, as well
