Minor glitches and bugs Entrenchment v1.0

A few bugs remain from the final beta and into the release version.

1. Star surface activity slows to a complete stop as the game progresses - takes about 10 minutes to completely stop, looks a little odd as I use starbases at stars as a choke point.

2. TEC and Advent starbases still 'jiggle' left and right when trying to aquire new targets that are out of range.

A few more;

1. The Vasari starbase level 3 weapon upgrade icon is the same as the level 2, its not clear at a glance that there is a level 3 as all the other icons change if there are more upgrades to be had.
2. Frontal Shield and Debris Vortex to do not show an upgraded icon on the selection/auto-cast screen if you are using upgrade level 2.

As mentioned by Szadowsz mines are not being used very well by the AI on normal - I'm not sure if thats intentional.

On a good note - The starbases rock!! :thumbsup:

I spotted a graphical bug with TEC starbase

 

The build effect for the "Garda flak frigate" is misplaced on the left side.

The build effects for NUMEROUS ships is misplaced/missing.

 

The build effect im talking about is the little stream that constructors put out, these animations are CORRECTLY PLACED in the little glowing dock area of the TEC starbase.

 

EDIT:

When buildin from a starbase, the supply needed ISN'T queued. So you cant judge how many ships you can get from that supply you have.

Another odd one.

1. I've had the bounty placed on an ememy AI wiped out during the bidding phase - I had just outbid one player (several thousand) and I got 'all bounty on this empire has been depleted' and it was reset to zero - it cost me a fortune.

Confirming that TEC Hangars fire while under construction.  Wanted to add that the Docking Booms special repair ability affects structures under construction.

I got another game freeze/crash. I updated to the lastest 1.15 and entrenchment 1.0.xxx yesterday.

right after the message impending pirate raid, without clicking anything (I think).

happened twice with beta3 too, exactly the same, only there were minidumps then.

I discovered a major issue while playing entrenchment. 

I was tec facing 1 advent unfair ai, 1 tec unfair ai , and 1 vasari unfair ai.  While assualting the advent with a variety of ships i discovered after i took that planet just that planet mind you that the game said the ai was gone, dead ,  HOWEVER  they still had seven or more planets!??? At that point it was like the ai was dead because they stoped there attacks against all..

that is not a bug.

you probably took the AIs homeworld and "defeated" it, of course the remaining planets, ships and structures will remain in the game to be shot down and taken, but it won't rebuild or attack anymore.

there is 1 bug i encountered with entrenchment 1.01 with the vasari missle defense platform, the research where it can disable all passive regeneration sometimes effects ships forever.

 

i was vasari myself finishing off another vasari with a badly hurt level 8 carrier capital ship in my fleet.

it had 608 HP left and 17 AM while it got the "regeneration disabled" effect from that platform.

after clearing out all remaining platforms and 5 minutes later that same ship was still stuck with 608 HP and no regeneration at all.

it didn't matter because after that i won the game but in any other case my cap ship would be dead unless i retreated it back to my repair-platforms.

If you turn up the voices volume, you will hear the Starbase captain say:"If you'll all look out the port window you will see how the Vasari starbase under construction, which is juuuuust out of our weapons range, looks compaired to ours", THEN the stabase giggles. . .

i found no difference in meteor upgrades 1 and 2 and also no differences in mass confusion 1 and 2 (except for more am of cousre but the abilitys kept the same)

Ummm, thats odd.

playing against 10 AI on a huge map, 2 AI were destroyed rather early as shown in the diplomacy menu.

However sending scouts out showned me they were very much alive.

One their Capital planet seemed to maybe have been taken, but the other definitely not.

have the destoryed rules changed now?

AI with the 'cracked windshield' will no longer expand or move their fleets around, as they have surrendered, but will continue to defend themselves when you invade.  I assumed this behaviour was intentional, as I've had AI 'surrender' many times.  Destroying a large enough fleet that they know the can't rebuild before you sweep up their remaining 3-5 planets will sometimes force this condition.

is there a way to disable the possibility to surrender? recently I killed one single capital on a map where 3 opponents still had planets and all of a sudden I was told I had won the game. that's rather strange.
