So where is the new content?

So I've started a new game but I don't see any of the new content. Where is the option to build a starbase, mine layer, etc.??

(a new manual listing where to find the new content is sorely missed)

Yeah guess I should clarify that. Yes I got Entrenchment :)

Finally found the ship to build a starbase. Haven't seen the mine one yet. Lol... going to have to go through every ships' description again

You should go back and read all the change logs from the beta and such. It might help you find everything.

A manual is forth-coming.

Also, make sure you're running the right executable.  I made that mistake once, running the vanilla Sins client, and I wondered why the ship-building icons were in the wrong places... it took me a minute to realize I hadn't started Entrenchment.  (They re-odered the icons to Capital/Frigate/Cruiser for starbase reasons.)

The one you want is "Sins of a Solar Empire Entrenchment.exe", with a different icon than the original one.

That would be my biggest problem apparently. :)

Also, look in the research tab, there's a new area: "Defence" (generic term).

If up to the usual Stardock standards (all the GCII manuals as well as Sins) it will be of marginal help. I love Stardock's games and responsiveness to the community, but their manuals (and "tutorials"--I really don't consider non-interactive tutorials to be worth much) are terrible.

I'll have an overview developer blog up tomorrow that should help out a lot.

Most of the entrenchment upgrades arent apparent early game.  You should notice the entirely new tech tree, but you wont see the actual ingame units till mid/late game.  Once you get rolling, the new addins are definately fun, but its not going to be like adding Brood Wars to starcraft or Opposing Fronts to Company of Heroes.

It is a micro-expansion, after all ;)

Was I worng or did they say that they were releasing a campaign?  Cause I did not get one with entrenchment.

Entrenchment wasn't supposed to have one. There was some talk about a possible campaign at some point in the future, but that was never linked to Entrenchment. To this day, we still don't have anything concrete :P

I vote no campaign. BUT I do vote for somekind a campaign creater. I rather make my own maps with script.
