Localization Problem

Hi

Iam trying to re-translate string file, so it can becompatible with cureent sins verison ( Polish version is 1.05, no higher patch available), but there is some issue. When i add new translated text i get "No String Found" in all palces in the game, witokut my modifications it is ok. Iam doing this, as far as i know polish distributor (Nicolas Games), is not planning giving us any updates for polish version( for sure not in near future). Is there any way to solve this? thanks

Are you trying to update the old polish file or retranslate the latest english one from scratch?

i made new txt file, renamed it to English.str (no more str files in SoSE STR folder), i pasted there a text form polish 1.05 string file. And when i run game all what i see is String not Found. It is weird, coz With str form polish edition it works, bu my copy -paste str is not working. This is little complicated, because str form polish edition is encrypted i guess, cant open it with any tex editor. But i was involved in transaliting and testing of polish version so i managed to get translated verision in .xls format (from localization studio), and this is from where i copied that already translated text.

All what iam trying to do is update old polish file, coz i didnt notice anny diffrences in new and old str files, so i think there is no need to retraslate whole thing. Iam also willing to retranslate Entranchment, but i need to solve that issue.

EDIT:

I Can send Translated text, if someone just could get it working, so i can just later keep it updating when new patches arrives.

Was your old string file named English.str? It has to be whatever the old name was, unless you want to dig around the registry to change it. At least I think it's still in the registry..

Yes it was, mine always have the name of oryginal one.

I managed to solve this problem :).

There is str file- copy it to String folder (backup old one), and copy font file to Font folder (backup it too).

Entrenchment update will be availble soon ; ).
