Phase Stabalizers bugged?

I like the Vasari mostly because they have their phase Stabalizers.  Mine aren't working right.  I'll build one in every colonizeable system, but after the first 10 or so, wether or not they work is random.  The system card says phase stabilized, but my fleets (and tradeships) refuse to use the node and instead travel 3 or 4 systems out of the way.  even if they are currently in the phase stabilized system.  for 10 tac slots I want the things to work every time, not just whenever they feel like it.

One possibility I thought of is that on larger maps the stabilized state takes longer to update to the pathfinding AI, but I have no idea.  I never had this problem in base, only in Entrenchment, though I haven't tride base with the latest patches.

Anyone else noticed this?

There used to be an issue at one point where phase stabilizers built on freshly colonized planets would take a while to register (~10 minutes or so?) and your ships would fly to the next nearest to jump from. But if you waited a while after colonizing and then built it, it would function normally. I'm not sure if this was ever changed/fixed, but does that sound about like what you're seeing? Vasari is not a race I play primarily :x

I've played Vasari MANY TIMES! (they are slowly but surely becoming my fav race in the expense of TEC :( lets hope the Argonev changes that ;)) but as for Phase Stabalisers issues...I never had any! I played game when I had to speed build some stabilisers to risk losing half my planets (read: an entire system :()

and I never had any issues! Just gotta make sure that both the starter and the receiver planets have stabilisers!

I'm partial to the Advent because they got hot chicks, and TEC because they got autocannons. But anyway..

ive never seen the tradeships use phase stablizers, but ive never had a problem with them

Using the latest Entrenchment version, i also see the same happening, usually works after a couple mins, not sure if working as intended or a bug...

This only seems to happen on a newly colonized planet and first structure built is the phase gate.

ah, that helps.  After a while it is the first structure I build. Guess I need to build a mine first or something.  thanks.

If it IS a bug and not intentional, a fix would be nice but not urgently necessary so long as there is a work around.

If not building the phase gate as the first structure corrects it, that's a great new piece of info.. can you post back if it works that way?

I was just trying that out, and I figured out what is happening.

The build order doesn't matter, the stabilizers just don't work so long as the planet still has the build speed bonus provided by the space egg.  If you colonize with a frigate, it works immediatly while if you use the evacuator you have to wait untill its bonus effect goes away for the stabilizers to work (which means my lvl3 colonize ability is a hinderance now :( )  I figure this is a bug, and in all honesty needs to be fixed as it sort of makes the colonize ability of the evacuator less useful.

Interesting! I'm assuming that you tried colonizing with a frigate and building the phase stab and it worked right away, then?

Yes.  And I kept checking back with my other planets and none of their stabalizers worked untill after the build rate increase expired.  It probably somehow overrides the phase stabilizer.

Thanks, that's great info. :)

interesting, I wondered why I couldn't get my phase stab.s to work even after demoeing them and rebuilding.  I they eventually worked, but I had already rebuilt a stab. at my one chokepoint.

plz fix this soon, IC/Stardock (can't remember which is dev)
