SuperWeapons Destroy Mines

I was thinking this would be a good way to deal with the issue of mines (which I think are still waay to annoying).

And if not destroy them, maybe permanantly keep them in real space.

Forgot about that, still though, it's gotta somehow travel through phase space in order to reach the planet so quickly.

The radiation might cause the mines to un-phase???

and nuke half the frigates in orbit?

i think it would be nice if they had a semi-expensive sensor ping you can use from the planet if you have it colonized to reveal all mines in orbit. maybe somehow pay a little extra and get them all destroyed.

Shields would protect them, just cause the mines to crap out or something = unphase long enough for a fighter sweep to clear some of them...

Heck I'd just like to see them balanced.... the Advent culture bomb is terrible compared to the other two races superweapons.

Not true. Each race gets a culture bonos. This can remove the opponents one and replace it with yours to swing a battle balance in your favour. It can also help to flip a planet to neutral or save one that is about to go from your empire. And their is a tech that allows advent to see enemy grav wells where they have culture influence. Guess what. This ability will reveal wherever you shoot!!!

couple of things about deliverance:

1. Takes a little bit for the effect to kick in. at least pre-entrenchment anyhow

2. Strips enemy of culture bonus

3. provides own culture bonus + 25% damage bonus i belive, +-5%.

I once fired like a dozen deliverance cannons into a star system. Burned out thier culture for like 15 minutes.

Their is a way to jump outside of the mine feild. People always got wtf when i do and start clearing their mines on my way in. The only mine that posse a problem are advent mines. Since thier hommign range is longer then the scouts detection range.

Does the vasari superweapon affect mines?

How do you jump in outside? Using the other side of the phase line?

And the devs are aware of the advent mine thing. It's being addresed in the next patch.
