Issues with Nvidias new driver

Hello all.

Just wondering if anyone out there was having issues with Entrechment using the new Nvidia 182.08 drivers.

I installed them recently to make another game i play happy, but now i have some graphic anolomies (small flickering sections on text, small amount of the same in the background rendering) and missing textures (on planets) in Entrenchment (I have seen not one issue with other games I play on 182.08, but that doesn't mean there are not any).

I have not tried that driver on vanilla Sins yet, and plan on reverting back to 169.21. I did uninstall the 94.xx driver i was using previously (and worked absolutely fine with entrenchement as far as i know) prior to installing the 182.08 driver.

I do have a rather old rig (p4 hyperthreading, 1.5 GB RAM, AGP 7800GS 256 MB), with a fresh install of windows, and i only keep the bare minimum in software on it to run games properly.

Just wondering ... was it homeworld 2 you were trying to make happy? I was going to update my drivers, but I haven't yet, and now I won't.

Did you make sure to uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones?  Sometimes that messes up stuff.

Well Nvidia driver 169.21 seems to keep all my games happy.

The game that requested a driver update was Age of Conan.

I did uninstall the drivers and reinstall the new ones.

The 182.08 drivers made two other games of mine unstable and caused them to CTD every few minutes. Eventually I uninstalled them and reverted back to my previous patches. The 182.08 should be pulled back, they are just not stable.

Go to www.guru3d.com, perhaps they can offer you drivers that will pacify Age of Conan but that will be much more stable.
