Estimate dates of new expansions...........

Estimate dates of new expansions...........

If Entrechment took a year after the original release of Sins, does that mean the second will take until next Feb?

Or do you see the second coming in time for Christmas and maybe third expansion for next summer? Of 2010?

One of the diplomacy options that would be cool would be a "give me X cap ship" or "Give you X cap ship". I can just imagine a Kol leading a fleet of illumies.
Yeah! I like the idea of tributes. Perhaps even planets could be handed over in exchange for alliance.

Yeah, I thought of that one too, but what about the structures? Are they destroyed? Do they convert to your race specific structures? Or do they stay the same and you can then use a novalith as the advent?

Thats a good question. hadn't thought about that. It would be good if you could obtain structures as well, but maybee that would be to much or difficult to implement. Then again Idk, if you can have ships from another race/faction why not structures.

i would like to see more demand options.

give me  planet, money, ... or

give shipvision to ...

declare war on...

make peace with .. or ...

cancel ...treaty with ...

your max used fleetsupply is 100 or we declare war.

get my puppet and we protect you...

dont colonize this planet...

your are not allowed to build ... (carriers f.e.)

merchantoptions:

i give you (tech,planet,money) for ...

declare war on ... for ...

dont build .. for x minutes

and all other demandoptions...

maybe ther could be a spysystem where u can place spies and antispies on planets...

they sound nice, I especially like the restricting fleet size. it might be hard to check that though, so maybe you should go into a 'do not research tech xy' and include the fleet research there. less flexible, but maybe easier to realise. and it would go along with other techs like carriers or starbases or particular starbase upgrades.

also, I though about tech trees and had an idea. since these are so different it does not make sense to trade them directly. but you could sort of exchange knowledge on similar techs like starbase contruction, hulls or the like which would give both sides a bonus to research cost or time. or maybe a better idea is a tech treaty where both sides get some time or cost boost.

And, oh by the way, IC is also working on the next big project coming after SINS...it will be an RPG, if not mistaken and Blair said in a podcast on GWJ that the gist of the new game was heavily influenced by some of the board games that they are really into...1 specific mention was the game, "War of the Ring."
End of quote

I knew they were working on another project, but I thought it was an RTS...  I know *Stardock* is wanting to do a 'Baldur's Gate style RPG' but haven't heard anythign on it.

Where'd you get your info?

I'm pretty sure it's an RTS, Craig let slip in some interview that it'd be a strategy game like we've never seen before. :P

Sorry meant to say RTS but with influence from the RPG gaming world.  And it was from the March 4 podcast on Gamers With Jobs.

I'd be really surprised if it was not an RTS. I mean, they got their earlier roots in Homeworld: Cataclysm, continued with Sins.. I can't imagine them doing an RPG :P

I don't think Sins 2. One interview said they'll probably make another IP after the Sins expansions, but come back to Sins in the future. I doubt they'd drop Sins completely, since I already made them fear my torches and pitch forks.

I hope they stay Sci-Fi, for some reason, i've grown out of Fantasy  :'(

They've hinted around many times that it is gonna be fantasy based, not Sci-Fi.

Me too. The last strategy game I played that was fantasy was Heros of might and magic 3.
