Starbase Missing in Entrenchment

Hi all

I d/l Entrenchment a few days ago and have been happily playing away. I started a new game as Vasari and as it progressed, I noticed that I could not generate a Starbase as a Vasari. No probs with TEC or Advent, just Vasari.

After going thru the research trees, I cannot find the research to give access to the Starbase Construction Frigate i.e. the frigate that builds the Starbase is missing.

Am I just being dense or has Ironclad forgotten to package the Vasari Starbase files on Impulse? Anyone else noticed the same prob?

Check the defencive tech tree, can't remember the name. In it there is a research to allow your colony ships to create Star Bases. The research has several arrows showing it is a prerequisite to a few other techs.

Thanks Haree78, I found it finally. Vasari starbase building is a little different from the other two. In Advent and TEC games, there is a dedicated cruiser to build starbases. In Vasari games, it is the Jikara Navigator frigate (the one that can colonise planets) that has the starbase builder in it.

I was looking for a cruiser instead of a frigate.
