New Impulse not working

I tried to run Impulse today, the main screen would come up but it wouldn't load anything.  So I tried to update Impulse, and now it won't even launch.  I updated my Impulse to the newest version, now it won't get passed the splash screens...I'm running .Net 3.5SP1 on Vista HP x64...I want my entrenchment!  This totally sucks not being able to get updates without running another peice of software, and when it fails your basically screwed.

I get the same thing. Got no idea why.

Sins and Entrenchment don't work either.

Mine runs but it won't uninstall the Entrenchment beta. i get an XML (28,8) error and it uninstalls the main game instead!

reinstalling impulse might solve the problem

Wrong. I have done this it has not helped at all.

a dev ha posted the following for this problem earlier

"You may need to manually remove the game folder, and delete 2 Registry Keys before you'll be able to re-install.

Go to C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire (or where ever you installed the game) and delete the main folder.

Then launch the System Registry (Start-> run, and type regedit)
Look for and delete the following Keys;

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sinsentrench

For Vista 64 bit;
HKLM>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node>Stardock>Drengin.net>sins
HKLM>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node>Stardock>Drengin.net>sinsentrench

Then, reboot your PC and go back to Impulse and try installing the base game. Make sure it installs to 1.13 version, test it out before then installing entrenchment."
