How can i find the clear placeholder meshes used for ships & structures when they are being built ? :)

Hi,

       I have an idea for a new mod, and remember, or think i remember seeing a placeholder entry for one of the ships or modules, but i have been through the gameevents, the frigates and capitals and gameconstants files looking for it, but cannot find the entry that i "thought" i saw. Does anyone have an idea? Pretty please?  

Thank you even if you dont know, im trying to build a fleet of clear ships, and placeholder ship meshes would be just the perfect thing.  

Haha, cant tell you too much, haha, or i'll give everything away, but that it part of it.

p.s.   Placeholder is what you call the clear image mesh of the ship as they are filled in when being built, is it not?

 

Also does anyone know if this is sounds like something that shouldn't be done? Let me know please. TY

 

 

edit 2:   think i found it, am getting ready to fire it up and test it now, wish me luck.

Nope, not the right one, or at least im not getting the right one yet.  Well, back to looking in textures.

Isnt' that just... you know, a transparent version of the model? (as a code thing, not an art thing)

i believe its art, but of course, haha, i could be wrong.  Thank you for bringing that up though, i hadnt thought of that and you may be right, in case, im not going to find it, unless i ... hmmmm.... you know the illuminators get that from their ability... perhaps i can look at the ability or buff and see if i can see what does it.  And if i can move it to another ship.

all it is, is a transparent version of the model, its one of the textures that you create.

  I thought it would look cool to have a fleet of transparent ships.     So i thought it was a diff mesh that they used when they show them when the frigfactory or the capitalfactory is building them.    Thanks St. Cobalt, it would be cool to see if i can get there from the illuminators ability. Let you know,

To be specific, it is a transparent version of the model with the bumpmap superimposed.
