the version number for entrenchment IS 3. you also have to add (at present) the map name to your galaxy.manifest in the program files entrenchment directory as well as altering the number of maps at the top of the file. I have written a small utility for this exact task and will email it to anybody that pms me an email address that can recieve a 30kb rar file

You are not alone in your map makeing troubles, .  I have tried makeing maps for Entrenchment, changed the version number and all, added the file name to the manifest.galaxy file, changed the map count in the same file, and the maps STILL WON'T WORK!  I tried getting answers on my own thread, but I couldn't get any of those to work.  If anyone reading this knows what to do, that would be AWSOME!  Thanks

regarding the upload I do not know how to upload to the file download sites, and have already emailed it to BLAIR so that he can if he wants to insert it on the sins download page.

also so that I can offer the latest version to people

regarding the map making into entrenchment I have done exactly this, and I am currently testing ideas reagrds independent colonies in the maps in entrenchment, using galaxy forge 3, notepad++ to edit the hidden settings in galaxy files and my galaxy.manifest manager to create a new master galaxy manifest and delete all others

hope this helps

I don't get why did make entrenchment so difficult to create mods or galaxy. You know having to add things to the manifast files

mooster, ithink it was tohelp the quality control in the mods, but I am only a game player/mapper & utility programmer from way back in the dim dark days of the z80 cpu. while I did write some games for myself back then I found I enjoyed writing utilities more and more people used the utilities
