Noob map question

Hi

 Let me apologise first if this question(s) has been asked before. I have just bought the game becasue I am bored with wow, and it is great.

  My first question is where are saved maps stored. I have looked in the galaxy folder and it is not there. I mean a map that you generate yourself in game. If I save it as Raknruin 1 where will it go? Also is there any guides available to using the custum map maker? I want to generate a map with alot of stars but few lanes connecting them ( 1 or 2 lanes), and where can I edit the starting resources for the map once I have made it?

 Sorry again for the newbie questions but I am excited about the game and I want to get the most out of it.

first, the maps ARE stored in that folder, u just havent made any yet. If u did create a random map in the game and saved it under the galaxy folder. I would reccomend using the galaxy forge to create ur maps instead of the coustum map generator in sins. Galaxy forge gives more control over the making of the map ie:reasources and militia at each planet. There is a guide available to using Galaxy forge, https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/174739/page/19/#2083194 (heres the fourm), but not the map maker in sins. Also, all of the stars connect to Every other star. to have the correct idea but have it in sins would be to make a lot of planets but not alot of lanes, this is not like MOO3. The main action takes place around planets and not stars.

varsil1 not quite complete the galaxy forge maps ARE stored in the program galaxy folder BUT the map designer maps are in the users galaxy folder and can not work in the programs folder as galaxy forge maps can not work in the users galaxy folder.
