Phase Jumping between Stars

I just started playing the game a couple days ago and love it. My one problem is I can't get my ships to phase jump between different stars.

Any help would be appreciated.

Each race has a tech under their respective civilian tree called long range jumps, or something equivalent that you have to research first.  Other than that, the only place you can jump from is star to star, can't be done from the planet grav wells.

To clarify: Interstellar jumps can only be done directly from one star to another, and require some kind of long-range jump research. Also, the artifact that reduces the flight time for interstellar jumps also enables them whether or not you have the tech.

u guys are completely right, but i got to add that u also need to research if u want to travel with wormholes it take some more civilian structures tho.

Some maps have interstellar wormholes which provide a stealthier way of sneaking into another star system (the phase jump detection techs do not reveal ships moving through them).

TEC and Advent have their long range jump techs at Tier 3, wormhole at Tier 5.

Vasari have their long range jump at Tier 2, wormhole at Tier 4.
