Stargate Mod 2009/03/17 relase installation?

I must be doing something wrong.  I have downloaded and installed SGraces 91b, Planetsize 1.00b, Fleetsize 1.00 in that order.  I put them all in a single folder in the Entrechment mods folder.  It shows up in game, I can enable it, but there are no extra races, just the original 3.  Do I need volumetric and Bailknights or are they optional?  If I need those 2 can I get the link for the Entrenchment version?

   Thanks in advance.

They all have to go into their own separate folder under the Entrenchment Mods folder.  When you enable them in the order listed, be sure that SGRaces sits at the top of the list in the game.  It should work after that.

Please note that I made a mistake when I packed GalaxyMod and the SGGalaxy mod and they currently are not correct.  I am working on correcting that and posting new download files ASAP.  The three you listed should be fine.

well as problems start to appear, related to the mod or just not knowing how to do,i have a problem with the mod myself.

I'read the problem with the AI crashing the because of some unspent points with strikecraft or something like that and i dont know if you have fixed it,if you havent than my problem isnt anything new but otherwise i'll continue-
My game keeps crashing after 30 minutes or so,i have tried ancients and asgard and both crashed,i tried disabling fleetsize and planetsize mod but still it crashed, than you released .91b but still everything is the same. All these times i have assinged the AI as asgard, only first time wraith. The game just pops up a c++ error and thats it.

The strikecraft issue was worked around in the current release versions so that would not be the issue.  A C++ runtime error is often what happens if you have a patch version different from the version the mod was created for.

What versions of Sins are you running?

Thanks got it installed and working.  I have 1.01 entrenchment also, and am getting runtime error, runnign windows vista 32 bit.  Didn't clock how long it worked before the crash.  Less than 30 min; only 2 planets, crashed during a battle Ancient cap ship agains a starbase.  Don't know if that makes a difference.  Will try again.

I found that with Volumetric and Bailknight's enabled I was forced to turn down the game's Effects settings to "High" at most on everything.  If it was set to highest it would minidump and crash my video card drivers.

It may also help to increase the particle count limit in your user.setting file.  The default is 6000.  I played with 12000 and the reduced settings and all seemed well.

very well,i had the same idea today but didnt think about it much,i hope there is no major loss with the visual effect if i turn down a bit

I tried setting effects to high versus highest, 86 min and no crashes.  Can someone make a link to the Volumetric and Bailknight files for Entrenchment.  Thanks for the advice on reducing the settings.

I don't have links on hand but they both have threads here in the modding forum.  They shouldn't be hard to find.

I'm glad to hear that you've got it working.  Hope you enjoy the mod.
