Games will not run.

I am using IE8 as my operating system, just downloaded the new updates but now I can't get either game to run. Not even going to impulse and clicking run works.

I also noticed that the Sins of a Solar Empire launcher no longer comes on my desktop when I turn my computer on. Even using that, after going to the programs listing, doesn't work.

Praying someone can get me going again.

IE8 is very new and I'm not sure all our games have been tested on it yet. If you donwloaded new updates to IE8, and the game suddenly stop working, Don't blame the game. You might want to consider returning to IE7, or IE8 prior to that update.

I'm assuming someone took a shortcut, welded half a hundered weight of IE DLL's in to their system and IE8's totally changed things.  This is why proprietry is a bad thing.  It's also why "re-inventing the wheel" can be useful.

Best advice is wind your system back to IE7 or IE6... assuming MS left you a downgrade path.
