Jumped into a planet

I was just playing on a map today, one that I made (not with galaxy forge, just the default builder), and I came across a Terran planet directly above an asteroid. When I jumped an Arcova to it, it appeared inside the planet. When i told it to move, it suddenly appeared below the planet, and was unable to jump back to the asteroid.

Glitch? Bug? Incredibly lucky one in a million fortress world?

I know there are rare circumstances where it appears that a planet is on top of another planet, but a lot of times the junp was straight up or down, did this happen or was it really a glitch?

Former happened to me in several occaisions on random maps

I think it was a glitch. The ship jumped directly upward, but appeared inside the planet, and then was unable to jump back down. It was trapped. Does the ship normally get stuck when a planet is like this?

I built a map in the editer and my home world ended up having a moon.  the grave wells of an astorid and my home world tuched.  it still needed a jump to get there, but only the time it took to charge up the jump drive. It was kinda cool accualy.

Overlapping planets causes many issues with the pathing engine. Try not to build maps like that.

Well we don't usually don't build maps that have a overlapping planet it happens with the mapdesigner in game

Yeah. Turns out military ships get out fine, they just jump THROUGH the planets, but trade ships gets stuck.

I turned that planet into sort of a heavily fortified bastion. One way in, one way out.
