So I got around to buying it today. I like waiting, generally, because the first couple patches work out the most annoying kinks.
But I noticed 2 bugs that did bother me. The first one was Advent Mines. You'd place them, set them up, but when you go back to the planet later they are all stationed in a single file line near whatever hangar they came out of - I only tried it twice. Wrote them off, and scuttled the squads via the hangar - which still left the mines hanging around doing nothing, even as enemy ships waltzed past, so I had to scuttle them individually.
The next was the Meteorite Starbase Upgrade. At Level 1 the ability for Anti-Planet showed an impressive-huge target zone, but as my upgrade to level 2 kicked in and the ability finally cooled down this target zone shrunk from the size of a small gravity well to a few inches off the outter circumference of the starbase - making the upgrade totally useless.
Anyway its 3 in the morning. Had fun. Sorry if this is meant to go somewhere else. Good work SD. If I can recreate the errors when I can see straight I'll capture some screenshots. Until then I have a date with a pillow.
